Life is too short to defer your dreams — whether that dream includes writing your first novel or becoming a full-time author. My goal is to show creative people that they can make time for the things they love and integrate their passions into their daily lives.
Creativity is a need all human beings share, and we must all find ways to bring the joy of creativity into our daily lives. Nobody is too busy to write. We must simply learn to prioritize our passions.
Hello! My name is Tarah. I’m a full-time author living in Colorado Springs. I’ve written stories my entire life, and I completed my first novel in 2013. Since then, I’ve written and published 16 books under my pen name, Tarah Benner.
Before I began my author career, I graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in journalism. I became an editor at The Agency Post and later worked with entrepreneurs, CEOs, and Fortune 500 companies to create premium content for publications such as Forbes, Fast Company, and Business Insider. I coached freelance writers, managed editors, and wheedled articles out of busy, grammatically challenged CEOs for years. Now I work for myself and make a living from my fiction.
My husband and I are both entrepreneurs who live life on our own terms. I spend my days writing, communing with nature, and wrangling two wild dogs. To live a life of my own creation is a tremendous privilege — one that I want to pass on to you.
This is your one wild and precious life. How are you going to spend it?
