Conversations about the creative life.
Do you ever feel as though you’re living all alone on your own creative island? Are you pursuing your dream of writing or making art without the support of a creative community?
Six years ago, that’s exactly how I felt. I was toiling away on my first novel, and there was no one in my life who I could turn to. I was living in the middle of Missouri. I didn’t have a lot of writer friends. I didn’t know anyone who was trying to do what I was doing. It was a lonely time.
These days, I still spend a lot of time alone in my writing cave, but I feel as though I’m part of something bigger — a community of people who share my zest for life and my passion for creativity. Most of these people live in another state, but we are all connected through the magic of the Internet.
The Fearless Creative is a podcast for writers, artists, and creative entrepreneurs who want to build a business around their passions and live a life that feeds their soul. On the podcast, I talk about what it takes to build a thriving creative business, ditch the day job, and make awesome sh*t all day, every day.
Podcasts are what got me through those lonely years when I was building my author business. The Fearless Creative is me opening my home to all you creatives around the world who want to put beautiful things out into the Universe and earn a living doing it.
There’s a new episode of The Fearless Creative every Monday to get you through the 9-to-5 grind. You can download it on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Play, Stitcher, and all the major podcast apps. (If you don’t know how to subscribe on Apple Podcasts, check out my cheat sheet here.)
It’s hard work creating every day, but you don’t have to do it alone.
